Her passion is to help people discover and develop their potential, passion and purpose. Melisa has applied this passion in a variety of contexts over the course of her life thus far. As an experiential educator she has used ropes courses, rock climbing, and wilderness travel as vehicles for learning and growth. In her role as a facilitator, trainer and consultant, Melisa combines simulation activities, real time projects, and various other methodologies to create a “learning laboratory environment” designed to deepen and accelerate individual and organizational growth. As a coach working with individuals, Melisa incorporates various tools and techniques designed to facilitate an individual's discovery process with a sense of fun, purpose and passion. Melisa's unique perspective is a result of her varied work and life experiences. She has worked externally as a coach and consultant with for profit businesses, non–profit organizations and academic institutions. In addition, her experience includes internal work both as an individual contributor and in management positions within financial, health care, consulting and educational organizations. Her curiosity with learning and growth began early in life while playing school with siblings and neighbors, attending a high school that concentrated on learning with no grades and continued with her Bachelors and Masters of Education study at Boston University. Melisa has lived, worked, and studied throughout the US and the World and seeks learning opportunities each and every day. She currently resides in historic Danvers, Massachusetts with her family, which includes a variety of 2 and 4 legged mammals. |
